I added about three ounces of Fuggles pellets to the Secondary of a 23L batch of Pale Ale and I'm surprised with how vigorous the activity is in the carboy. It's been churning aggressively and the air lock has been bubbling constantly. I have never experienced this before, is this normal?

I'm sure you just have some nucleation sites for CO2 to release by adding the hops.
