Hello all,

hell, i love beer and enjoy reading about it, drinking it, and making it. I'm a noobie w/ 7 batches under my belt, but can say my latest batch was twice as good as the previous ones.

I'm happy to have found a forum for brewers as i have no homebrew friends.

I'll be seeing you around.

hi castle meadow,

I'm from milford, ct. I got my starter kit at maltose as well as lots of other stuff. I'm gonna brew tomorrow(the northern brewer tongue splitter).

There is an upcoming brewfest in waterbury CT sept. 15. I haven't been before but think I'll get over there this year. Here's a linky.

cool i've been by there but didn't go in. I'd like to get over there soon and have a tasty one or two.

I'm wondering why they can their beers. I always like the bottles, but bought their cans since they're local.

what other ct breweries have you been to?

Welcome aboard. I'm right in New Haven about a mile or so from New England Brewery. Have you ever been to Delaney's Tap Room? It's right down the road from New England Brewery and they carry it on tap, as well as about 35 others.

For Milford, SBC is decent but I've found their stuff is usually hit or miss...

i haven't been to delaney's tap room before, but it sounds like a good place to have a drink. There are a couple places I've been in New Haven that make their own brew. One is Bar (across from Louis Luncheon) and Myas on Howe St. Myas makes their own beer as well as sake.

Sbc is a good place. Their brew burgers pretty damn good and some of their brews are allright too.
