So I know that I added too much priming sugar. So today, 5 days after bottling, I recapped my beer. I just took them off and then put some new ones on. Is this going to work or do I need to do anything else?

Also one of the bottles had no carb, I just recapped it but what would cause that? All the others were, just not that one...

Five days is too soon to try and correct for over carbonation. At five days, you have no carbonation. You need a minimum of 21 days at 70+ degrees.

How much corn sugar did you use?

3.5oz for 3 gal to get me somewhere around 2.6 on a brown ale. I don't want that much carb though and only hindsight told me that.
