What do you think about this smoked porter recipe? I absolutely love Islay Scotch (very peaty and smoky), and I want to have that hard hitting peat and smoke in my porter. The hop schedule is based on Jamil's recipe in Brewing Classic Styles. I though about using Cluster as the bittering hop and Willamette as the flavor/aroma hops instead.

I think if you'll be alright if you really like peat. Different peat malts can vary rather widely, I did a beer inspired by HoTD Adam with ~3.3% Simpsons peated malt, nice and smokey but not over the top.

I modified the recipe a little bit. I think this is the version I'll go with. I love Laphroaig Scotch (Islay single malt), and it's very peaty and smoky.
