so i keep finding mixed information... how much priming sugar should i use for bottling 5 gals in 12 once bottles

Use 3/4 of a cup of corn sugar boiled in 2 cups of water for 5 gallons of beer.
If you bulk prime (mix sugar and beer in a bottling bucket or carboy) than bottle size doesn't matter.

Some people like more carbonation and some less. Definitely start with the 3/4c. (4oz by weight) and go from there until you find what you like... 4oz works for me...
