I have been looking into a refractometer. I used more beers spread sheet

and then did the old multiply the brix by 4. all three equaled three different readings:confused:

So what is the best way to use these.

The MoreBeer spreadsheet produces weird Brix to OG conversions in my experience, because it uses a very high wort correction factor. That is the primary difference between the various calculators - they all use different corrections to account for the non-fermentables in wort that slightly skew the refract reading.
In my limited experience, I have found that the BeerSmith software does the best job overall, since it lets you calibrate your Brix-OG conversion based on your equipment. Its post-fermentation estimates also were closer to my hydro readings than with the other calculators I tried.
