Does that sound about right?

One of my goals for this year is to brew by Reinheitsgebot. So I want to use gyle to get there. I just don't know if I can/want to be that patient. Maybe I'll do my batches 50/50 corn sugar/gyle.

I kraeusened a keg with a fermenting hop tea gyle on the 10th and put it in the fridge to begin lagering today. It appeared to be fully carbonated and the SG is the same as before kraeusening, so 16 days at ~62-65F did the trick for this beer. 1.051 OG with W-34/70.

Disclaimer: I don't have one of these

, but that would be a way to know for sure.

Even easier, just fill a couple PET plastic bottles. Start putting bottles in the fridge when plastic ones are rock hard.:)
