Have a recipe that calls for .5 oz cascade hops at 7.5% for 60 min

The pellets I have are cascade @ 3.2%

Do I just double the amount and throw in the whole 1oz?


They are the For the full 60 min of the boil, if that makes any difference.

That will get you close. If you multiply the AA% by the OZ try to match the numbers.

So 0.5 x 7.5 = 3.75

If you have 1 oz of 3.2 well that's 3.2.

If you've got more cascade around you could up it to 1.2 oz and get really close.

Of course since it's for bittering you could sub something else in.
