Hello,

I love using Nottingham Ale Yeast for my Stouts and Porters but I recently moved and now live very close to a homebrew store who carries A LOT of liquid yeast. He said he could order me what ever I needed by I thought I would take this opertunity to experiment a little. I was just wondering if anybody knows of a liquid yeast strain that is equivalent or close to Nottingham?

Thanks in advance.

Why would you want a liquid Nottingham? The main reason to use liquid yeasts it to get weird funky esters and poor attenuation;) .

If you need a very clean, high attenuation ferment, just use Nottingham. Save your bucks for the Belgians.

WLP039 Nottingham Ale Yeast, but I suspect it's pricey and special order.
