Hey hey folks, Martin here. bottled my first beer today, an EDME Dry Irish Stout kit i got for my birthday. Picked up a Young's "u-brew" Beer Buddy kit to brew it in, £20 for big bucket + lid (markings up to 5gal, and plenty space after that. 6.5gal total i think), siphon tube, hydrometer, sanitiser and can of Bitter extract ready for batch 2.
Hoping everything is going ok, followed the hugely vague instuctions for a 24-pint batch and didn't run into any problems whatsoever, even at this early stage i have a very drinkable stout (albeit flat) that is surprisingly similar to Murphy's, barring the yummy mule-kick bitternessthat hopefully won't go too far by xmas.
