Making the auto-siphon longer?

My auto siphon won't fit into the next of my carboy so has anybody ever made it longer somway....its really frustrating that i can only use this great device when i use platic as my fermenting tank


EDIT: yes i know i spelled siphon wrong in the title
 
What kind of siphon do you have? I assume there's only one auto siphon and it fits fine in my glass carboy. Also you can edit your title, hit edit then go advanced and fix it so you don't look like a dork.;)
 
What size autosiphon do you own...measure it. They make 3 different sizes, but the most common one we brewers use fits in the carboy with plenty room to spare...

The sizes are 13.5", 27" and I believe 30" Maybe you got a short one by mistake?
 
You could probably get a piece of tubing that fits tightly around the end of the auto-siphon to make it longer. Not sure if it will work, but its worth a shot.
