I would be a bit concerned about the silver emulsion given that it is a heavy metal used for photograph delvopment. I think you could sterilize these either with iodine or high heat and a good several scrubs to be safe. they are a good deal so I understand your dilemma.
 
I would be concerned with the potential for remaining residue. I suggest that steam cleaning followed with a nitric acid rinse is appropriate. Nitric is the preferred acid for metals cleaning for analytical sampling equipment.
