I'm brewing a couple of ales and they have been in primary for over two weeks. They both reached FG (1.012) about a week ago but I'm giving them more time. After they reached FG, there's still some activity in the airlock. I see a small bubble about every five minutes. Is this normal? I thought the activity would stop after reaching FG.
Also, I plan to secondary and to try and clarify with some gelatin. I can't fit two 5 gallon carboys in my fermenting chamber. When I secondary, can I divide one of the ales into two smaller (3 gallon) carboys so they will all fit into the fermenting chamber and allow me to lower the temp into the 50's?
