I'm experimenting with a recipe I adapted from the famous CENTENNIAL BLONDE ALE. Since I can't find Centennial Hops where I live I used Columbus as a alternative for my experimental mini batch. :)

Please let me know your opinion

Here it is: ( I used BREWTARGET)

0) Add 1.653 lb Pale Malt (2 Row) US, 2.822 oz Cara-Pils/Dextrine, 1.940 oz Caramel/Crystal Malt - 10L, 1.940 oz Vienna Malt, to the mash tun.

1) Bring 1.242 qt water to 180.896 F, 1.306 gal water to 173.330 F, for upcoming infusions.

2) Add 1.242 qt water at 180.896 F to mash to bring it to 154.400 F. Hold for 1.000 hr.

3) Add 1.306 gal water at 173.330 F to mash to bring it to 165.200 F. Hold for 15.000 min.

You anticipate losing 0.000 tsp to trub and chiller loss.
The final volume in the primary is 1.189 gal.

11) Cool wort and pitch Safale S-04 Ale yeast, to the primary.

12) Let ferment until FG is 1.011.

13) Transfer beer to secondary.

that 40min cascade should be at 5 mins. i like the columbus swap, it should make for an interesting spin on it

Funny that you posted this...I just brewed a blonde ale using columbus/cascade last night :)

I used 89% Pale malt, 9% Wheat malt and 2% Crystal 40...wound up hitting 1047. For hops I used columbus for bittering, then cascade at 20 min and cascade/columbus at 5min. I Targeted about 27IBU.

Here's hoping they turn out great! :mug:
