Hey Guys & Guyettes,
As some of you know, I'm in the process of building a 1 tier system. Over the next several weeks, I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions. I've read a lot of the build threads and have picked up a lot of info. I know that the majority of people use a March 809HS or similar pump. However, what if you took one of those stainless 12vdc utility pumps and found an impeller to work at high temp. Most of the ones that come with the pumps are nitrile but I have seen other materials advertised. Part of this is about price, part about using lower volgtage around water, part about doiing a clean in place, and mostly just to see if it could be done comparably in price. I found that most of the time, when I come up with an idea, there's a "Been there..." already posted. Any ideas, experience, problems, suppliers? - Dwain
