Therm Strips...a lot of us have them on our primary buckets and carboys. We're always complaining about how they self destruct after they get wet when we clean up.
Personally, I've lost about 6-8 of them that way.
Well, I've come up with a solution that will eliminate having to buy them over and over again. You LHBS may not like it, but hey, they already made the sale.
I laminate my therm strips with 3" clear packing tape. I also bend about 1/4" of the tape (end) over on itself so you can easily pull it off the fermenter to use it over and over. If it ever tears you can just cut the excess off and place another layer on top to start fresh again.
Leave the back strip on (where you would normally expose the adhesive).
This way you can remove it before washing your vessels and put them back on after they dry.
