Hello all. I have a 3 gallon keg and I always make 5 gallon batches. I would like to bottle the other two gallons. So is it possible that I could use the full normal amount of corn sugar for the 5 gallon batch, rack the sugared 3 gallons into the keg and let it sit for a few week just like I would if I bottled? If so would I just have to connect the CO2 when I am ready to pour and then serve?

Check out kotmf.com. Under the tools tab they have a Keg Carbonation Calculator and Priming Sugar Calculator. I haven't had to split a brew between keg and bottle but I would imagine adding all your priming sugar into the five gallons and then seperate into 3 gal for keg and 2 for bottling and letting both sit for a couple weeks would work fine.
