Has anyone on hear used these and if so what did you think of them? It's really convenient because my supply store down the street only sells those for extract kits.

oktoberfest kit i started with is okay
don't follow instructions for times, though: keep in primary 3-4 weeks, and then let it carb/condition at least four weeks
definitely has what i'm imagining is the 'extract twang'

Because it was a oktoberfest were you able to keep it cold for fermentation? Because the Pilsner I wanted to do said nothing in the instructions about keeping it cold and I know that traditionally a Pilsner has a cold fermentation. What do you mean twang?
