Hey guys,
We have received a cry for help from the Washington Homebrewers Association and the Washington Beer Commission, the organizers of the Spokane Oktoberfest. They are asking for homebrewers to volunteer to help out at the event. I don't know exactly what they need help with, but it sounds like pouring! This may be a good opportunity for area brewers to get together (several Spokane brewers are forming a club as we speak),

help out a good cause, meet each other, drink some good beer, and help spread the word that homebrewing is alive and well in Eastern Washington. They really want people who know beer to be the pourers and interact with the public. After all, us homebrewers DO know beer.

If you are interested in helping out, please respond here with an email address and I will facilitate with WAHA. There is also a direct link on the Spokane Oktoberfest page, but I am trying to keep dibs on all volunteers who are homebrewers, so please email me and I will compile the list and get it to the event organizers.
EDIT: 8-25-10 The Washington Beer Commission are asking that we work a minimum of a four hour shift (times and beer stations to be announced). Volunteers will receive a t-shirt, beer stein, and admission to the event during an off shift.
Looking forward to working with you all!
