I am making a one gallon mead tonight and was debating how much yeast to use. I bought a vial of WLP720 Sweet Mead. It says use one vial for 5 gallons. When I make 5 gallons of beer, I always make a starter, regardless of what the package says. Since I am only doing one gal of mead, is there anything wrong with pitching the whole vial? Should I try to only pitch part of it?
