Wee heavy

Just cracked a Sam Adams Wee heavy. I must say......pretty nice. Smoky peat, malty goodness and a 10 abv bite warms the tummy.
I give it an 8 out of 10 blingmanns.

Don't see an actual "Wee Heavy" listed on their site... Closest listed is their Scotch Ale, at a paltry 5.5% ABV... They list "Smoky, malty, full bodied, brewed with traditional British ale hops." on that brew's page... Sounds like the same thing you mentioned, but not nearly 10% ABV...

I've become seriously disappointed in what SA produces over the years. Brews that I once liked of theirs, over the years declined. Since I started brewing my own, I won't waste the money on a 6 pack of SA... Not even for the bottles (which I don't need anyway)...
