I’m just looking for some feedback on recipe here. Not really sure what style it would fit into, just something I made up. My goal is a light, clean crisp beer with a good nose and flavor but not very bitter. I live in the south so fermenting much below 68 is a problem. I’m still fairly new at this so any feedback would be helpful.
5 gallon batch
OG ~1.046
FG ~1.011
Abv: 4.5%
IBU: 27
Color: 4
Extracts:
3.3 # CBW Pilsen light LME (late)
1 # Briess Extra light DME
1.5 # Muntons Wheat DME
Hops:
.5 oz Perle 60 min
.5 oz Fuggles 15 min
.5 oz Fuggles 5 min
.5 oz Tettnang 5 min
Yeast:
Wyeast 1272 American Ale II
Or
Wyeast 1335 British Ale II

1 tsp Irish moss 15 min

Late addition on the LME to help keep the color light.
Thanks :mug:

I would think that the British Ale II would make it a bit more malt-forward (less bitter). Just be careful to go easy on the bittering hops. That way, you'll get more malt flavor, with the hop hit on the back of the tongue to cleanse the pallet.
