I got two smack packs of Wyeast. One smells normal. The other smells sour. Like pungent, pull your face away sour. Both were refrigerated. Both are American Ale yeast. Ideas?

Made on date was 30 May 2012. That's not so old. Whatever. I dumped it and got some Fermentis brand. Guess there's a reason why they've been my fave all along.
