I cant use glass bottles?

I haven't made any but every where I've seen they say not to. Soda is more likely to explode from the sugars if carbing with yeast. I would say a plastic bottle exploding would be a little better than a glass one.
 
Yeah, I mean, soda is different from beer in that there will always be fermentable sugars remaining in the end product, you're just relying on cold temperatures to keep the yeast dormant. With beer, we've only got excess fermentable sugars (beyond what's needed for carbonation) left if we've screwed up (bottled too soon or gotten a wild yeast). There's less margin of error with soda, it's a lot easier for a soda to become a bottle bomb than a beer.
