Untrained plalate neds help identifying hop characteristics

Greetings HBT, didn't realise how long I'd been away...

I'm considering upgrading from kit+kilo to boiled extract brewing, and wondered if anyone could point out any commercial beers available in the UK that can help me identify the effects of hops, specifically any particularly aromatic or flavourful ones.

The site below lists a bunch of commercial beer-hop combos, although I have a suspicion it's not 100% correct. Mostly US beers, but some UK and others available in the UK.

Is Mikkeller beer in the UK? They come out of Denmark IIRC. It's pricey, but they did a whole line of single hop beers.

brewers have been known to tweak their recipes from time to time, and so the hop character can certainly drift from year to year
