I have four new pharmaceutical grade 5.5g carboys with built in handles and rubber stoppers. These are about 1/4" thick opaque nalgene fluorinated polyethylene (FLPE). They sell for about $130 each on amazon. I feel that they are safer than glass (ever slash yourself when one breaks?) and a better quality plastic that 'better bottles' which can permeate oxygen and are prone to buckle when cleaning. They come with screw-on caps which are good for storage and I've drilled out #13.5 stoppers for you airlocks (not included). I am using 8 myself and am very happy with them.

$30ea $100 for all four.

I'm not sure how much shipping would cost, but I could look into it.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks God you said they are new.... I can only imagine what would happen if they had been used to make Viagra in the past...:D

At least the beer wouldn't loose it's head. (someone had to say it)

Johnson - it looks like $21.08 if I buy postage online for a 10# 24x24x12 package. I'd try to find a free box, but I could grab one at staples otherwise for about $5.

vivasbeer and dust both had their carboys shipped so they are all are gone.

Good luck brewing with them! If one beer causes you to be drunk for more than four hours, seek immediate medical attention (and please post the recipe).

Cheers!
