Haven't read the whole thread so I answer this with slight dread

But the answer must be 2 I'm sure it's true

The grandfathers father might not be fishing with them but that does not change the fact that he definitely is a son to someone. The other is his son who still likes to have fun. He has a son who is perhaps somewhere with his great grandfather while the two go fishing. Picture it that way. Great grandpa is with great grandson while son and grandpa go fishing.

Person A is someone's son. That does not fit the criterion.

LRB is right with 2. Every man is a son. Aren't you?

Here's a riddle and I have no answer
Spelling of names is quite a chancer
A child's first name, shown on a birth certificate
A parent wants to give, a name to sign with it

There are easy ones like John and Greg
or maybe not; "Jon" and "Gregg"
or Brian and Bryan or Megan and Meagan
Depends where you're from if I'm not mistaken

There are also some multiple splits
Between boy and girl so don't call it quits
Like Cary or Carrie, and Danny or Danni
Which one of them do you think wear panties?

And of course Chris or Kris
Which one would most guys blow a kiss?

A young parent in love with their new born child
At the passion of the moment sometimes goes wild
In giving a new cherub a name
might spell the name differently; a new name to proclaim

So not sure if this is a riddle or my babble
One to many beers and I'm just a lose (or is it loose) paddle

Is this a riddle?
I think yes
Give it your
Prolific best (I did)

PPS. Will now go watch while I'm beer buzzingly boozed - "Blazing Saddles"

I'm not even sure what the question is :D

Actually, I am wrong. Three can't be right. If they're were three then there would've been three sons. Sorry to muddle your brain Dan.

Btw, cheers to all the riddlers from Costa Rica's only brew pub/hotel.

Where (and what) is it? I'm in Costa Rica rather often as my parents own a place about 20 minutes outside of Jaco.

Man, I want to come up with something fun and intelligent
Probably not going to happen, I shouldn't post words on a silly rant

Crap, I"m broken.

Don't know which words I will next speak of
I'm lost and crazy and very much in love

I don't even know what that's suppose to meAN.
I'm typing and writing into a machine.

Eff! Let's talk about brew
That's why we come here, Me and you
Today is another day that will end at midnight
Tomorrow it will be past and all just hindsight
I'm stalling for sure,
trying to think of a riddle
for Emjay to play upon his fiddle.

Meh! I don't have one now
But maybe you do
and California has happy cows.

JK here you go.
A simple riddle for you bros ( and sistas, just didn't rhyme. I'm an inconsiderate a$$, most of the time.)

This is the riddle. :tank:
I run all day and I never walk, I have a big mouth, but never talk.

Nice to see things are the same
Since i last visited the thread with this name
A riddle to post is what we seek
But in reality, mine are usually weak
So to help dan out, maybe even a sliver
I am going to guess the answer is a RIVER

Emjay, it is the Volcano Brewing Co. On the west end of the lake at Arenal. You should check them out. They have a website. We went through Jaco on the way to Manuel Antonio. CR is a beautiful country.

A simple yet elegant mystery is it not?
yet I dare to say they are pilot and co-pilot,
who lost the battle to keep the plane aloft.
Now they are a pair of crispy sots.

HA! It took my awhile to see why your answer is right
and the dead men must have died in flight.
I saw a thousand answers, so there had to be a play on words
I missed it completely, we're a bunch of nerds

Probably to easy but haven't posted lately
Those ones before are harder and stately

Standing by a very tall tree
Staring hgh at a cocunut with glee
Are squirrel, a giraffe, a monkey, and lion
Each one of them hungry and heavy sighing
The question is just which one from the jungle
Will be the first to pull that banana from its bundle.

I like this riddle you posted Dan
Its my belief that none of them can

LRB, I knew you had it from the start
Your subtly is a work of art
Just wanted to hear you explain it
Want to hear the hardest riddle, I'll say it
Maybe because it's way outside my league
For me a riddle like this brings on fatigue

My non rhyming verse gamble here to this riddle a short preamble.

This is not the original riddle in its true form. Converted it to verse because that is the accepted communication in general on the thread. It’s what we like.

Without further ado. This ones for you’s.

A man is stuck in a concrete cube
Walls, floor and top, 10 feet thick, not a tube
There are no doors, hole or windows
He can’t wear down the walls even with nickel
In this room are a table and mirror
How does he escape, somebody make this clearer

This is a tough one to solve I have gathered
Would be a good time to have a chisel and hammer
The only solution I see is to self inflict pain
Break the mirror and open your veins.

A nice answer BBL but I thinks its chances are slim
My son heard this before and told me the answer before I could stop him
The answer is is fun, so I will not share it
Since I'd just be a parrot
If I had figured it out
I'd be the first to shout.

Great Riddle Dan.
I wish I didn't know the trapped man's plan

In reality though, that's as good as it gets
I too know the answer, though be it far fetched
It seems I have already heard this one before
I used to work with a man with riddles in store
I never liked this one, not one little bit
I prefer the solution to be fully legit

BBL I totally agree
This here riddle is a bit silly
It was among the worlds hardest riddles
The methods used to figure the answer
Not common place but quite imaginative
I think this one has broke me cause look at this
My response is just a bunch of broken sentences

A nice set of clues you just provided
Maybe someone will see them and get excited

I'm trying hard

I just don't see it

Your clues elude

I shouldntve whiskeydit.

I thought and thought until my brain was almost raw,
Then I realized he looked in the mirror and saw what he saw.
So he used that new found saw to saw the table in half.
After that he let out an outrageous laugh,
Put the two halves back together to make a whole.
The it was just a matter of playing like a mile!

(And before those who are brighter get sore,
Let it be known I've heard this before.)

Sometimes I am loved,
Usually by the young.
Other times I am dreaded,
Mostly by the old ones.
I am hard to remember,
Also hard to forget.
And yet if you do,
You’ll make someone upset.
I occur every day
Everyone has to face me.
Even if you don’t want it
To happen; embrace me.

Would this be that be some special wordplay,
For wishing you a happy birthday?
