one of my daily routines is to plug "homebrew" in to craigslist and see what pops up...yesterday up popped an ad for a keggle w ss valve and screen (90) and an 8gal ss pot w brass valve (70) or 140 for both...it wasn't that far from me, and while my buddy and i have been putting together materials to start building our own keggles, we thought that we might be able to save some dough and pick one up already made, plus it wasn't that far from my house!
after changing our minds a couple of times about going or not, we finally head out there and figure 90 is a bit much for a keg shell with a valve and a 10" ss screen on the inside, we're about to pass and walk away when paul asked us if it was the price. we said yeah, kind of, and he asked what if he threw in some other stuff...i asked him what he had and he pulled out a march pump complete with valves. i offered him 80 for just that and he said sure! then he pulled out a 1000ml erlenmyer flask, and my buddy was hooked!
we didnt have cash on us so had to run to the bank, and when we got back he told us he found even more stuff...
so, for $200 we walked away with....
8 gallon SS pot w lid & brass valve
keggle with ss valve and 10" ss screen on the pickup
(x2) 1/2" copper immersion chillers
march 809 pump with valves and extra replacement case cover
1000ml erlenmyer flask
(1) scientific thermometer and (1) regular thermometer and clips
ss racking cane and plastic racking cane
plastic spoon and mash paddle
(6) corny keg adapters and a corny faucet
all metal capper and a bag of caps
(2) airlocks
bottle of star san
bottle of iodophor?
3 line manifold
a roll of cloth for seeping grains
ph strips and mash additive?
keg lube
funnels
20+ft of high temp tubing
a ton of random tubing
