brewed an ipa on tuesday morning. pitched yeast at 11:30am(OG = 1.062) and exactely 48 hours later I took a hydro reading and hydro reads 1.012!!!!

this is the fastest fermtentation I have ever had; anyone else experience this?? is this rare??

fermetation temps started out a bit high for the first 6-12 hours (76-78 F) I got temps down to 69-73 after that
 
hmm....

how sure are you that your temps were really down to 69-73f?

fermenting beer generates a good 5F of heat...

those first hours at 78F might have given you a pretty fruity beer.
 
yeah we will see??? I agve a taste and it tasted pretty good so far but it is soooooooo early
