Brewed a Christmas spice ale. I had planned to wait till at least thanksgiving to give it a taste but I didnt have the willpower to do it. Last night I cracked the first bottle. Let me say this is probably the best beer ive made this far. From the glass your nose is hit with the oh so yummy smell of hops, orange, and cinnamon. Anyway this is a picture thread so heres the picture. Also attached is a picture of the label thats going on my bottles. I call this brew santas little helper. abv is right around 5.3. I was to slow to catch the head, it was kind of small(havent mastered getting a good head on my beer yet)

Note: i only have room right now for a mr beer rig so all my recipes are 2.5 gallons.
45 min boil time
Grains
.5 lb Crystal 40
.5lb brown malt
Sugar
1 lbs amber dme
1lbs light pils dme
.5lbs honey
Hops
1oz cascade(45mins)
1oz Hersbrucker (5mins)
Yeast
White labs California Ale yeast
Spices
(boil 10 minutes)
teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
2 small cinnamon sticks
sweet orange peel(8-10 pieces, eyeballed)
