Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone else ever experienced this. After putting my beer into the fermentation bucket I noticed I wasn't getting any bubbling out of the airlock. I wasn't worried, I just figured I'd do a hydrometer reading to make sure it was good. Then I noticed 8 days later my lid had a 1inch crack in it. Should I be worried? Will this batch be contaminated? Any help I is appreciated. Thanks

Nothing to worry about. I assume it was a 1" long hair line crack.

New lid. Unless you want to dry duct your brew. :D

You could try putting some clear wrap under the tape if you really didn't want to get a new lid. At least for this batch. Then I'd replace it before the next batch went in.
