I googled for a clone recipe and came up with this recipe. I've adjusted the 2-row and dme to suit my partial mash setup.

3 lb amber dme
4 lb munich
1 lb black patent
.5 lb crystal 60
.5 lb carapils (I added this)
1 oz Columbus 60 min
1 oz Cascade 10 min
2 oz Willamette flame-out

That seems like a lot of black patent. The people who posted the recipe agreed it sounded like a lot, but they all thought the finished beer was great.

What do you guys think? I was considering maybe 1/2 debittered and 1/2 regular, but not sure what that does to the taste.

HOLY SMOKES- that's a LOT of black patent! I think roasted barley would be more appropriate, probably around .5 lbs.

If you are using roasted grains and munich malt, I would go with pale extract. For the black patent I would sub maybe 0.75 lbs of roasted barley and some chocolate malt, maybe 0.25 lbs or so.
