I'm thinking about using a corny keg with the top cut off as an electric boil kettle on my 2.5 gallon system. Would there be any issues with the kettle being taller and narrower than a typical boil kettle?

Also, I'd rather not cut up a perfectly usable keg. Where might I find an old keg I could use for this?
