Def before priming. It is after all,a specific gravity measurement in this case to see how much sugar was converted to alcohol.
 
With those readings you should have got a 4% abv. Find an ABC calculator if you aren't a math type. They are free every where.
 
Which priming sugar did you use how much of it and for how many gallons, if your reading withthe priming sugar was made at the correct temperature you can find out where the beer was before adding the sugar
 
Well I´m metric so I have to make some adjustments, this is the answer: 1 pound of corn sugar in 1 gallon yields 1.046 that we have to divide in 5 gallons: 1.009 ish, but that´s for 1 pound, if a pound it´s 1.009,2 5 oz will be 2.85 gravity points. So if your beer measured 1020 with the sugar without it will be 2.85 gravity points less. Your FG was 1.017 and your OG was 1.050 your beer will be 4,3 ABV
