Hi,

I pitched my yeast into my ipa wort about ten hours ago I just now realized the I forgot to put water in the airlock, is there a chance the yeast was exposed to oxygen, or do u think since I caught it perhaps everything will be okay?
 
Yep, it's only after fermentation that you worry about oxygen.

My fermentations always start with a loose plastic bag + rubber-band covering the carboy opening, then I tend to airlock only after high-kreusen.
