What can I expect from steeping Golden Naked Oats?

Just as the title asks. From what I've read it should add a nice smooth mouth feel but will it add any off flavors or cloudiness?

This is basically using the Oats as a specialty grain in an extract brew.
 
i just did it in my extract Wit. I did a # which people said was too much.

it adds a creamy transition to the brew, which i appreciated. it does make it cloudy though. quite cloudy in fact. but that's acceptable to me for a Wit.

so basically, if the style calls for a cloudy hazy beer like a hef or wit, then it's perfect for steeping. otherwise you're going to have to find a way to clear that haze if it bothers you- possibly a malt addition with good enzymes, maybe an amber extract? you'll probably need something with enough enzymes to break down the proteins.

i'm no expert there. someone else will have to add to this.
 
wet golden naked oats?
