Switched to using dry yeast a few batches ago. A reply to a post on here stated not to airiate the wort. In true auto pilot mode I have been. What are the side effects of doing so ?

I use US-05 a lot and I've done it both with and without aeration. Honestly, I can't tell a difference. I quit using it because it takes off just fine without it. If you used it, no biggie.

Provided you do not over oxygenate the wort then the indications are that there will be no negatives when using dry yeast.
Harvested 05 of course would need aeration of the wort for optimum performance of the yeast.
