help making strong heineken clone

I am going to make a batch for my friend’s birthday. He likes Heineken, but likes the kick of Mickeys malt liquor. So I want to make him a strong Heineken tasting beer with 8-9% ABV. Any suggestions for the recipe would be greatly appreciated.
 
Copy a heineken clone recipe off the web then add corn sugar to the primary to boost the ABV. It's probably gonna taste like ****, but if he likes Mickeys he won't notice :)
 
Or better yet scale up the fermentables so your OG is closer to 1.080 instead of 1.050. I would boost the hops as well to counter the additional sweetness. Just remember to pitch extra yeast and give it additional lagering time to smooth out, hopefully you have 2-3+ months before his birthday.
