Siphon: http://www.brew-magic.com/ketl_acc_unisiphon.html
Faslse Bottom (with hole): http://www.brew-magic.com/ketl_acc_falsebtm.html

So for some reason the siphon will not line up with the false bottom hole properly, about 1/2" off (being too long). I screwed the siphon all the way in as far as I can go, seems to stick out a bit though.

What are my options here? I'm thinking of possibly get a hold of a welder to see if they can trim down the siphon piece by a 1/2" so it lines up properly. Or possibly return the false bottom and get one without a hole, then drill the hole myself in the proper spot I need.

Any suggestions, or has anyone ran into this problem?

Can you just bend the tube a little bit more, so it will hit the hole?

can you put the tube through the hole first, and then thread it in the coupling?

1) I could try to figure out how to bend the SS more, but i'm pretty sure i would have to cut off the top of the SS because it would hit the bottom? Plus i'm not sure how easy it is to bend something that is already bent. Any information on how to do this would be great!

2) I can't put it in the hole first... its 1/2" too long so it doesn't line up.
