How much is equivalent?

How much ground cinnamon is equivalent to a stick of cinnamon? I plan to use ground cinnamon instead of sticks this fall, but when adding it to an alcohol infusion I'm sure that the ration is not one to one. Guesses on this one?

1 stick of true cinnamon
= 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
= 1/8th teaspoon cinnamon extract

Thanks eknee, i've gotten answers anywhere from a teaspoon to a 1/4 teaspoon by asking around at my LHS.

Next question then becomes: does a ground cinnamon need to be soaked in alcohol the way a stick does?

My instinct tells me 'yes, but' with a much larger surface area you would soak for a shorter period of time?

How much is equivalent?
