I know some of you listen to the brewing network..... On the last broadcast of the Jamil Show they covered Imperial IPA's. He posted a recipe from Mike McDole of an imperial IPA that is a (sorta) clone of Pliny the Elder with a Northern Brewer kicker. This beer I think took a best in show (I don't know at what show, sorry). Anyhow... here is the recipe. 274 IBU's
Jamil suggested maybe upping the 2 row to aroud 85% and dropping the DME. Or just try it like it is. This thing looks OUT THERE!
NOTE: this is a 12 gallon recipe.... cut everything in half for a 6 gal batch.
