Im planning on brewing a double wit this weekend. Lately I've been brewing some pretty straight forward beers so I'm looking to experiment a bit more with this recipe in regards to style and ingredients. With that being said here is my initial thoughts for the recipe
Est OG: 1.067
Bitterness: 18.1 IBU
Color: 7.4 SRM
Est ABV: 7.2%
batch size 11 gallons boil 60 min
Brew house efficiency 73%
54.8% French Pils
37.6% Wheat Malt
3.6% Biscuit
2.7% Caravienna
1.3% Crystal 15
.25 oz CTZ @60 min
1.58 oz Citra @ 5 min
1.25 oz Chinook @5 min
1.25 oz Corriander @5 min
.66oz Orange Bitter @5 min
2 oz CTZ @ 1 min
3 grams grains of paradise and 2 stalks finely chopped lemon grass @ whirlpool
Wyeast 1762 Belgian Abbey Ale II
Will probably mash around 154 with a possible rest at 122 on the way up for 20 min to promote some haze
Feel free to let me know your thoughts/ comments. Thanks in advance.
