has anyone tried fermenting store bought iced tea?
how did it turn out?

We have fermented the frozen ice tea before.

10 cans of frozen ice tea (sorbate free, $0.79 cans)
2 kg of dextrose
water to 23l
L-1118 yeast
backsweeten with 3 cups of splenda
keg to carb

Of the juices that I have done, it is not my favorite. (I prefered lemonade or margarita mix or a 7/3 lemonade/limeade.) It was an easy ferment (vs the acidic lemonade).

well I've done lemonade and yes it was tough
so here's a better question would you make it again or is the time not worth the taste

Just check for HFCS I made a gallon trial of apple/raspberry (no tea) with Corn syrup just for kick you see, and it is still fermenting slowly and it has been since January, it is still perking away slowly- I feel like it will never ferment out. I would worry about it being stuck but it is slowly going down each time I test it...
Just a heads up, some of the sweetened teas at the store are full of HFCS..:(
