Adding Pumpkin Spice to Primary

This is probably a little intuitive, but I'm due to add in pumpkin spice to my beer this week. I don't have a secondary, so I can't rack on top of the spice tea. I'm not real concerned with clarity or anything either.

I should be able to just slowly pour it into my primary and give some gentle stirs to get it mixed up? Would that be safe and sufficient? All things well sanitized of course.
 
That's what I did to mine. I couldn't rack because all my car boys were full. I poured it in shook it a bit and let it sit. Turned out great
 
That's what I figured, but thought I'd feel out for some other opinions. Thanks
