Does anyone own one of these? The power consumption is specified as 1875 W, which should be about 10 times too high. I can't imagine how it could consume so much power, and I'm an electrical engineer, so I have some knowledge of power. If you have one, can you tell me if it has significantly affected your power bill? I suspect not, because the spec is wrong.

BTW, besides this question, it looks like a good deal, from what I've seen. You might check it out at Discount Tommy's. About $500. http://www.discounttommy.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/9032088/vpcsid/0/SFV/32282

Thanks.

It looks a lot like the fridge that I used to build my kegerator - from the packaging: annual consumption at 329 kWh.

I actually just ordered this and am waiting for the delivery. I was also concerned about the wattage because at that power it would need its own dedicated breaker.

I pulled up the owners manual:
http://www.concessionstands.com/site/pdf_manuals/DTX-7975.pdf

The actual power consumption is 115V/1.9 amps.
1875 watts (15 amps) is the recommended line they want you to use to plug the unit into.

Hope this helps.

I'm gonna guess that 1875W is the "kick" surge, ie when it starts.
