I was wondering if this is the temp sensor for my kegerator.

it runs from the temp control knob to behind the chiller plate thing.

I was wondering if I moved it closer to the front of the kegerator would it make the whole thing run cooler.

thanks

It is the temp sensor. The temp probe is near the plate because it uses the thermal mass of plate to help regulate the temp. I find it best the put the tip of the sensor in a small sealed jar of water. The water will act as a temperature substitute for your beer.
