Modified up an Avery 5048 template to make some 3/4" (0.75") round beer cap labels. Took the SRM to RGB numbers from [post=2085525]this post[/post] and used them as background fills for each label. This should prevent guests who "only like light beer" from cracking open an RIS. Label includes:
Recipe name
Style name
OG
Date (bottling or brewing, your choice)
ABV
IBU
SRM
For printing a whole sheet of them, I just filled the whole page instead of trying to fill each individual circle and get alignment absolutely perfect. It uses a little extra ink, but if you're worried about ink costs, you're using an inkjet the wrong way.
Notes:
Select paper type "envelope" or plain matte labels (Avery 5408).
Select paper type "glossy" for water-proof or gloss labels.
Inkjet prints on plain matte labels will be slightly "fuzzy" or "blurry", but still very readable. This combo is pictured.
Waterproof, glossy or laserjet labels will have "crisper" text.
Inkjet labels will smear when wetted unless printed on waterproof labels. Laser will not.
Add extra red value when printing labels for Reds.
Label requires 20/20 or better corrected vision to read. Sorry.
Cost of Avery 5408 labels is $6.42 per 1000 pack (search Amazon or pricematch at Staples)
