I could not afford to buy star san for my sanitizing purposes. I got some sanitizer from my work. It's a food safe sanitizer I use in a pizza department. Is kayquat 2 sanitizer. Is this okay to use to clean my equiptment

you should be able to use it but it requires a 1 min contact time at 200 ppm or higher and I'm not sure if it a no rinse sanitizer. other cheaper options. bleach but you MUST rinse all your equipment after sanitizing or idophor which is a no rinse but it will turn all your plastic pink. personally i would use the idophor.

Not sure why, but I have bought an $8 bottle of star san and it has lasted me for almost a year. You can store and reuse for long periods of time.

I would not. Quaternary ammonium-based products will destroy the foam stability of your beer.

Bleach can be used as no rinse if mixed at the proper concentrations. Or perhaps get some iodophor; it may be a little cheaper than Star San.
