I brewed the nb Caribou Slobber, got a hydrometer 2 days ago. I siphoned out a bit to check it. Its at 1.017. Flat and warm I tried it, a lot hoppier than moose drool, but then again I spilled some sludge from the brew kettle into the fermenter. I actually like it. It once las long once bottled.
I am really kinda excited about this as its my first real attempt at making beer.

Sledge from kettle isn't going to hurt anything.

You better get another batch going now for when you kill your slobber.

When I picked up the hydrometer I also picked up 100 dollars worth of fermenters, thermometers, grain bags, a bunch of other stuff, but more importantly 6 lbs of grain and some dme for tomorrow morning when I get the brew kettle dirty again.
