I often put a small lemon in my mead when starting a batch just to give the yeast more nutrients, but never thought of using it for flavor. Let us know how it turns out.
Very good advice. Too much lemon juice can cause yeast to shut down & drop out so fast, the mead will be crystal clear overnight; I found that out the hard way.

racked lemon to clear last night....decided to try a taste.....imagine a light lemon on white wine....with a soft honey finish.....yeo the gallon is almost gone...turned out well
